For You...For the New Year...

I said a prayer for you today,
As I do most every day,
That the Lord above would watch over you,
and send many blessings your way, too.

 

I asked that He keep you happy and safe,
And let not your burdens be too much to take.
I asked Him to send you joy throughout the upcoming new year,
And keep to a minimum your sadness and tears.

 

I asked that our friendship would strengthen and grow,
And that we maintain constant contact as we grow old.
I asked for wisdom and patience for both if us,
And for our lives to be just.

 

I said a prayer for you today,
And as our lives mature along the way,
I asked that you feel loved and admired for all you do,
And for a Happy New Year's to you and your's, too!
