"The web of our lives is of a mingled yarn, good and ill together." - William Shakespeare

Ho hum . . . just an update and thoughts from my mind . . . ooo, scary!

Well, let's see . . . break went way too fast and was way too short. I mean, I so was not even ready for Christmas, and WHOOOSH, in and out it came and went, darn 'bout missed it! It was a great Christmas though. I got all I asked for, a new pair of tennis shoes, and it was all I wanted. Of course, I may have mentioned this before, but anyho, I had to wrap them myself. But it's all good. Mom and Dad also got me some scrapbooking stuffs, a new pair of earrings, and a new necklace. I love the earrings because they're butterflies and I love butterflies. My family on mom's side had a thing for getting me sweaters, so I ended up with four or five new ones. I'm not complaining, I just dunno where I'm gonna put them, I already have limited drawer and storage space. And don't be shocked, but I don't have a closet, all my dresses are in mom's and she's out of room . . . *sigh* I'll figure something out. Oh, and I figured something out on Christmas Day night at my aunt and uncle's house, mudslides are better in hot chocolate . . .

December 15 was a blast! It was Kristin's 21st . . . we went to a mexican restrurant and, we counted it up the next day, she had a total of 27 different liquors . . . yup, she got toasted. But the thing was, everyone (about 21 people) kept ordering drinks for her, but no one else was drinking, so yeah, poor Kristin. She said some pretty funny things and fell once. But it was funny, and she laughed at herself more than I laughed.

New Year's eve was fun, too. Kristin played bar tender and I ended up having 7 drinks . . . 2 Madori Sours, 2 Melonball shots, 1 Mai Tai (not really my thing), 1 Marqurita w/Vodka, and a drink that I invented myself, but I never named it and no one else really liked it but me, but that's ok, more for me! Mom and Dad were there, too, and although I wasn't legal they didn't mind me drinking since I was with them. I love my parents.

New Year's Day was adventurous . . . my bf came and met the family, dad's side anyway, and survived. He only suffered one threat, lol. We exchanged presents and he got me this cute teddy bear and I got him, along with most of my friends, a Christmas ornament. His was this fish with huge lips, the body was a basketball, and it had on sneakers and stuff. It was cute. My dad's step-sister and her husband got me a $25 gift card to JC Penny's, yay! I needed new jeans anyway! Then after the family thing, I had to say goodbye to Josh and then I went with my mom and youngest sister to take my youngest sister's bf home and then to Big Lots to get a present for mom's best friend's granddaughter who will be one year old on mom's birthday, January 29. The birthday party was New Year's Day because the friend's daughter and granddaughter live in Colorado and would be flying back the following Monday. Jaelyn was so cute! and I think she enjoyed the paper and boxes more than the toys, but it was alright. And I hadn't seen her since before school started back at the end of August and when I came in the house, she came right to me! Awesome! (If you haven't figured it out by now, I like kids.) Anyways, after that, we went home and then my other sister and I went to my grandparent's (mom's side) and visited for a bit before I had to head back to school. My mom's step-dad was pickin about taking me to Ruby Tuesdays and I really wanted to go, but he was teasin'. Then he and my grandma took me to this place, the old Knights of Columbus building, literally 3 miles from my house, where there was a band playing and dancing. It was okay, but they kept trying to get me to dance, and I have two left feet. But I had to leave early anyway and go pick up my cousin from her work, and on my way out the door he said something about Ruby Tuesdays again, and I replied, "If you take me to Ruby Tuesdays, I'll give you two dances!" So I left and went to pick up my cousin from her job at Mickey D's and she got me a free ice cream, LOVE her! and took her home, then I went home, watched a little tv and went to bed. Afterall, it had been a loooong day and I had church in the morning . . .

Church was church, but I had nursery duty. That was awesome! I would so do the nursery thing every Sunday if they'd let me, but they don't, oh well. Now, you may think me as crazy for thinking the nursery was awesome, but there were 6 kids down there . . . Charlie (almost 1) was sick and didn't feel good, Jared, his brother (3 yrs), wouldn't listen to me and I had to put him in time out, Katie (almost 3, my little cousin) also didn't want to listen, but did, Rebecca (8 months) was very clingy and didn't want to be put down, she was also sleepy, Caleb (1 yr) was just all over the place, and Austin (2 yrs) kept cryin for his mommy. Now I did have some help, but we were stretched. My youngest sister was down there helping me and Caleb had to have his dad stay or he'd be crying the whole time too. But, I loved every minute of it, except Jared not listening, I don't like to punish, but I know it's required at times, otherwise, how will a child learn what's right and what's wrong? But yeah, loved church! After church was a different story . . . Mom was raggin and crampin and nothing was going her way and she ended up in a really bitchy mood. Now I don't use that word unless I mean it, and I mean it! Normally, I'd just say witch, but if someone is being an evil witch, they're a bitch, and mom was certainly acting like one. First, she had planned on us-mom, dad, me, and both sisters-going down to Thomasville to see my aunt and uncle and spend some time with them, but my youngest sister wanted to stay home to do homework and go to WOL teen club at church that night, and since she couldn't find a ride, dad stayed home to take her, plus he had to work that night, but he could have slept at my uncle's. Then, on the way down there, we had to drop my car off at my cousin Angel's so her husband could replace the wheel bearings in the front so it'd quit making that noise that soooo irritated my mother. But that kinda busted 'cause my cousin wanted us to eat lunch with her, hot dogs boiled in water on the stove-oh so good, and I ended up turning down a date with Josh cause I thought we were going to Thomasville, but we never made it, and I knew better than to ask about calling him back and making a date. So I ended up go back home in mom's car to take my sisters to teen club and I started out in the nursery again, but someone else came down and said since I had had it that morning, they'd stay. Whatever, I was definately not one to start an arguement that day, so I went up to the servie, in my t-shirt and jeans. So yeah, Sunday was lovely.

Monday, I started packing up all my stuff, went and had lunch with mom, went back home to finish packing and loaded up the car, then went to fill up on gas, and hit the road to come back here to school at about 2:30, made it back in town at about 5 and on campus and unpacked the car at 5:30 (I made a stop at Wendy's for some dinner . . . I literally paid in dimes, nickles, and pennies.), called home so mom knew I had made it safely and started to settle back in . . . and here's the highlight from Monday, I went through all my clothes here at school and reorganized my drawers and closet, FUN stuff! I also watched most of the Sugar Bowl and all of RAW, and I was rooting for Tech, but I dunno what happened to them, I turned the game off when it was 16-6 with only about 5 or so minutes left of the game. Then I see the paper in the morning and the final was 16-13, but Tech still lost, but at least they only lost by 3, so I'm ok with that. And yeah, that's pretty much it. Classes started back yesterday and today and I'm still not sure if it's gonna be a really bad semester, as in really hetic, or if it's gonna be alright. But I'll post my schedule later and what I've learned from first day classes when I get back from the class I have to leave for now . . . Modern China, taught by my advisor, wo ho . . .

Anyho, hope you all are having/had a great break, for those that could, and that you've had and continue to have a good day today . . . missed you all! *HUGZ* . . . bbl peeps!
