"The web of our lives is of a mingled yarn, good and ill together." - William Shakespeare

Life can be such a brat!

Well, drat! I really messed things up today. I didn't finish my reading before class, so I probably failed the quiz. Sad thing is that if I had at least just reviewed my notes, I might have passed. Then, earlier today, I had to borrow my spanish professor's extra copy of the student manual (a.k.a. a workbook) and make copies of the pages I needed. (I'm repeating the course, otherwise this wouldn't have even been a problem.) So, after said class where I failed said quiz, I run to the library "real quick" to make the copies, spend an hour and forty minutes in there to get it done (I used the scanner and then printed it out, rather than paying 10 per page; I had to copy chapters 15-17=TOO much money), and thereby missing something rather important: I was supposed to be a babysitting job at 3:30, China class, where I failed said quiz didn't end until 3:15. See the problem, yet? Yeah, real quick run to library cause me to be real late for babysitting. As soon as I walked into my dorm room door, about 5 minutes 'til 5, my roommate looks up from sitting in the floor and saids a one word question, right, "Babysitting?" SNIZZLEFRITS!! So, I rush over to the phone and call the mom, told her why I hadn't got there--was in library and plain out forgot and did not even pay much attention to the time--and that I could be there in 5 minutes. THANKFULLY, THANKFULLY, Thankfully, the only reason she needed me there today in the first place was so that she could get some packing done, they leave for CA tomorrow, and I was to keep the kids occupied. It wasn't, thank goodness, because she and her husband to be anywhere. So it was no HUGE deal that I was late, but let's face it, I WAS late. But yeah, everything still worked out, and I watched the kids for 2.5 hours and, yeah they're good like this, I still got paid. And this brings me to a revelation . . . .

Lately, I dunno what's been up with me. I write things down, homework, appointments, things to do, BABYSITTING JOBS; and I even put them in my AIM away messages, and STILL I forget them. WHY? WHY WHY WHY? I dunno if it's because I'm still getting used to the new class schedules, or if my brain is overloaded, or what. But I keep forgetting things . . . not all things, just ALL the important things. *sigh* I feel really bad about forgetting babysitting today, but there's really nothing I can do about it now. And I'm still at a lost for preventing it in the near and immediate future, because I DO write EVERYTHING down on multiple calendars, planners, and even messengers and this blog; and yet, I still forget . . . I just haven't figured out why. :-/

*sigh* Hopefully, now that I got all of this (stuffs above) out in the open, so to speak, my memory will improve . . . hopefully, but probably not likely . . .
