*Sigh*...of Relief and Happiness...& Behold, the Caesar’s Bath meme!

**UPDATE: I forgot to mention that my forehead itches like crazy and has been peeling all day . . . Oh the joys of sunburns . . . that's all!**

--

I am completely done with exams, granted I still have a couple of things to do for Spanish and turn in, but other than that, I'm done with this semester at school! And while everyone else here is starting May Term a week from today, I get to go play in the photolab all day working on wedding pictures for Mark and Sierra and whoever else wants a copy of a picture. I really don't mind it and I love photography, it's just that is takes so long . . . if there were a way to speed up the process . . .

I'm babysitting tonight, I'm actually going to be leaving here in a little over an hour, but it's only a short 2 minute walk up the hill and across the street . . . sooo far away. I'm taking The Incredibles in dvd with me and my Spanish, since I've already seen the movie before. You know, I'm noticed something about myself--I can very rarely ever be productive in a totally quiet environment. I almost always have to have the tv or radio or a cd or something going on in the background. I guess when you come from a big family and there are quite a few cousins younger than you, you learn to deal with the noise . . . for me the quiet is . . . suffocating. Unless I'm trying to sleep, then that's something totally different. I can handle nature sounds even classical music being played very softly as I go to bed, or complete silence. I just don't know how some people have to have "city" noises to fall asleep . . . but for me to get work done, I need noise, otherwise . . . yup, you guessed it, I'm falling asleep.

Anyway, I think I might watch The Incredibles in spanish . . . that seems like it'll be fun. I tried it once already, but I didn't start the movie until just before midnight and I had had a long day, so needless to say I fell asleep before it got to the half-way point. We'll see . . .

I took my last exam this morning, 50 multiple choice questions with only about 20 having been on previous quizzes, and seeing as to how I never read for any of Bowen's classes anymore . . . well, here's to hoping . . . and the second part of the exam was worth 50%, a long comprhensive essay, although to give the man some credit, he did give us two topics to choose from. I talked about on the one that had something to do with the executive power and the health of democracy, or something like that. It was the longest essay I've ever written for any of Bowen's mid-terms or finals. The other essay option had something to do with Russia being in its Weimar (sp?) stage (think Germany pre-WWII). But seeing as I couldn't figure out the speeling of some of the words I'd need to use, I went with the other option.

*LoL* MindSay is suggesting tags for me to use, so far my favorite has been "features of long bed vs. short bed" . . . what?!

Anyway, moving on . . . after the exam, I still had to hunt down Jim to sign my timecard, and he was still nowhere to be found, at least not by me. So I turned it in anyway and went about doing everything else I needed to do so I could be free at 1pm to watch my Braves . . . even though they lost . . . blasted Bullpen! Not to mention Bobby Cox getting tossed in the first inning, as in just after the top of the first . . . so yeah, he was around for such a long time today. *Ha!* And I don't remember who the home-plate umpire was, but I really do not think it was right of him to follow John Thompson, (Braves starting pitcher) who was mouthing off about pitching calls on the way to the dugout, the ump should have just ignored him unles Thompson was getting in his face, but no, he followed him up the first base line and was yelling back. So not kosher. I'd tell you all the final score, but it hurts too much . . .

So yeah, that's been my day so far. After the game, I've been catching up on blogs and I stole this from shiny, sandyquill, and crimsontide . . .

Behold, the Caesar’s Bath meme! List five things that people in your
circle of friends or peer group are wild about, but you can’t really
understand the fuss over. To use the words of Caesar (from History of
the World Part I), “Nice. Nice. Not thrilling . . . but nice.

--None of them seems to understand Caesar or whatever, all I know about him is in Shalespeare's play and how he was betrayed and stabbed and such . . .

1. A common one for me shiny and crimsontide: Golf! I just don't get it. Playing it is one thing, but just watching a game, whether on tv or in person, sorry. Watching paint dry or grass grow is more thrilling.

2. Most Reality Shows! Who cares about Nick & Jessica, I'm sorry but after the first year, you've been married, you're not exactly a newlywed. Road Rules and Real World are both pieces of, um, crap. I have enough drama in my own life, who cares about your petty differences, you are the one that decided to go on the show! American Idol and Survivor, I don't particularly care for those either, nor The Apprentice or Fear Factor. And the ones my roommate watches, The Ultimate Fighter and The Contender, I'll watch them while I do other stuff, but I don't have to see every episode like she does. There are some reality shows that I do like--Sports with the exception of the one mentioned above (plus a few others like tennis and arena football), and on occasion (as in it's on and there's nothing else more pressing) I'll watch Wife Swap and Extreme Makeover Home Edition: How'd They Do That?.  But that's it.

3. Being at college and all, I've never understood why anyone would want to get plastered and drunk and say and do stupid things . . . Drinkning to Get Drunk! Really, why would you want to? It's cool if you want to have a couple drinks and watch a movie or something, but why would anyone want to put themselves in a position where they could say or do something to hurt someone else, or even themselves? It just ain't worth it.

4. Cursing/Cussing just to be Cool: Yeah, I admit it, a few of those four letter words have escaped my lips a time or two. But I don't say them just to say them. It usually only slips if I let my temper get out of control or get really frustrated or stressed. Not that uttering those words ever really makes me feel better, but it does allow me to let off a little bit of steam. And one other thing, cussing is one thing, but there are some supposed "friends" who I've asked not to take God's name in vain in my presence and yet they will do it anyway, most likely to get a rise out of me or something . . .

5.There are certain people in my life that have to be Right About EVERYTHING! Puh-leeze! No one person on this green earth has ever been absolutely perfect, with the exception of Jesus. So get off your freakin' high-horse and get a grip, would ya?! I have examples, but seeing as to how my roommate occasionally reads this blog and she knows the people I have in mind, I think I'll just keep my mouth shut.

---

Wow, that was rather time concuming and hard. After number two I had to really think about stuff that goes on around me. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this rather long entry and now I'm down to a little over 20 minutes before I have to leave to go babysit. Man, time sure does fly by when you don't want it to . . .

I hope all ya'll had a great day and all that jazz. And oh yeah, I added that tag MindSay keeps wanting me to . . . *LoL*
